Fitness Testing in Washington, DC

BOD POD Body Composition Test

The BOD POD is the world’s gold standard for fast, accurate and safe Body Fat Assessment.

Based on Air Displacement Plethysmography, the BOD POD uses whole body densitometric principles to determine body composition (Fat and Fat-Free Mass), guaranteeing high accuracy and excellent test-to-test repeatability.

The DEXA / DXA body composition measurement technology provides far more complete and precise information than any other weight and and body fat assessments tool.

DEXA / DXA provides data on total body fat percentage, total fat mass and fat-free mass, regional body fat results (trunk, arms, legs, pelvis and android/gynoid regions), along with bone density

.

The Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) test is performed to calculate the amount of energy that you burn at rest in one day.

Knowing the amount of energy you use at rest will help you better understand the amount of energy you need from food. Results include total number of calories you burn at rest, and whether your body uses more carbs or more fat for fuel.

The VO2 max test is used to determine your aerobic capacity.  For active individuals and athletes, VO2 max assessment is vital for training and  performance.

Prior to the test you will undergo an EKG to ensure that you can safely perform exercise testing. During the test, your blood pressure, heart rate, and heart activity will be monitored for safety. During this test.
