The BOD POD Gold Standard Body Composition Tracking System is an air displacement plethysmograph which uses whole-body densitometry to determine body composition (fat and fat-free mass) in adults and children, and can accommodate a wide range of populations. A full test requires only about 5 minutes, and provides highly accurate, safe, comfortable, and fast test results. Each BOD POD Gold Standard is a complete turnkey system with a dedicated computer system, the ability to measure thoracic gas volume (TGV), and data management capabilities.
Based on Air Displacement Plethysmography. ADP uses whole body densitometric principles to determine body composition (Fat and Fat-Free Mass) in adults and children, guaranteeing high accuracy and excellent test-to-test repeatability
Complete turnkey system. Each BOD POD comes with all the hardware and software required to perform an accurate body composition test, including PC, cart, integrated digital scale (for body mass measurement), calibration, etc.
Fast test time. The BOD POD is extremely simple to use and does not require a license to operate. A full test requires only about 5 minutes (2 minutes inside BOD POD)
Completely non-invasive. BOD POD’s air displacement plethysmography has eliminated the invasiveness of Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry (DXA) and it is therefore suitable for frequent, longitudinal tracking of body composition and metabolic changes over time.
